Recreating one of my most beloved vintage dresses

Be still my heart! I am feeling quite emotional right now posting this, but then again, I can be a very emotional and sentimental person especially when it comes to garments. The Emmeline Dress is based on a late 1930s, early 1940s house dress I own that I have worn to so many special events in my life. As with most of my beloved vintage pieces, especially from the 1940s and earlier, they are starting to become a bit more threadbare and so I now only wear certain garments if a special occasion calls for it. So it pleases me so much and makes me so very happy to be able to recreate my favorites so they can live on in a way.
